Georgia Squad Announced
Temur Ketsbaia announced the list of players that will comprise the National Team of Georgia for the last match of the Qualifying Campaign to Euro 2012 against Greece in Tbilisi. The match is going to be played on Mikheil Meskhi's Stadium the next 11th October.
Regrettably the National Team of Georgia has no chances of qualifying to the Euro, specially after the last two really unfortunate matches where Ketsbaia's boys took just 1 point from 6 needed.
Still there are chances of staying on fourth place or even climb to the third spot. At the end maybe the importance of this match is to rediscover the winning spirit, give chance to new strategies and ideas, and finally to celebrate the match number 99 of Levan Kobiashvili with the National Team.
The final list of players has no major sorprises considering the last lists, but there are some important absences because of injuries: Levan Kenia, Jano Ananidze, Georgi Loria and David Siradze; in they're places Temur Ketsbaia called up Akaki Khubutia, David Devdariani and Levan Mchedlidze, already recovered from they're injuries, Aleksandre Kvakhadze and the goalkeeper Konstantine Sepiashvili who's the only newcomer.
The complete list of players:
Goalkeepers: Nukri Revishvili (Anzhi Makhachkala, Russia), Roin Kvaskhvadze (FC Zestafoni) and Konstantine Sepiashvili (FC Gagra).
Defenders: Kakha Kaladze (Genoa, Italy), Zurab Khizanishvili (Kayserispor, Turkey), Aleksandre Amisulashvili (FC Krasnodar, Russia), Gia Grigalava (Volga Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), Guram Kashia (Vitesse Arnhem, Netherlands), Akaki Khubutia (Samsunspor, Turkey), Ucha Lobjanidze (Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine) and Aleksandre Kvakhadze (Metalurgist Rustavi).
Midfielders: Murtaz Daushvili (Karpaty Lviv, Ukraine), Jaba Kankava (Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine), David Targamadze (PFC Oleksandria, Ukraine), Levan Kobiashvili (Hertha Berlin, Germany), Aleksandre Guruli (Karpaty Lviv, Ukraine), Shota Grigalashvili (FC Zestafoni), David Devdariani (AGF Aarhus, Denmark) and Aleksandre Kobakhidze (Arsenal Kyiv, Ukraine).
Forwards: Aleksandre Iashvili (Karlsruher SC, Germany), Vladimer Dvalishvili (Maccabi Haifa, Israel), Otar Martsvaladze (FC Krasnodar, Russia) and Levan Mchedlidze (Empoli, Italy).
